A prominent Nordic bank is currently undertaking a large-scale digital transformation with a strong focus on intelligent automation. As part of this strategic journey, the organisation is expanding its capabilities within the Microsoft Power Platform, with a particular focus on Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst to join the platform team. This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-impact initiative that will influence how automation is implemented and governed across the institution.
About the Role
As the Business Analyst, you will work as a core member of the platform team and take a leading role in shaping how Power Automate is deployed across the organisation. You will be responsible for turning complex business needs into actionable solutions, ensuring that automation projects are aligned with business goals, technical feasibility, and compliance standards.
You will collaborate closely with architects, technical experts, and business stakeholders to define platform functionality, lead analysis and planning, and oversee proof-of-concept projects that demonstrate the platform’s capabilities before full-scale deployment.
Main Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive business cases that clearly outline value propositions, including cost-benefit analysis and alignment with strategic business goals
- Engage with stakeholders across business units to gather, document, and prioritise requirements for Power Automate projects
- Collaborate with enterprise architects to design automation infrastructure that is scalable, secure, and aligned with regulatory requirements
- Lead the development and execution of proof-of-concept projects to validate the technical feasibility and business impact of proposed automation solutions
- Establish clear communication channels to provide regular updates to stakeholders and ensure consistent alignment of expectations
- Proactively identify risks and challenges and work collaboratively to design effective mitigation strategies that address both technical and organisational concerns
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Java developer with a good understanding of basic and advanced Java knowledge.
- Minimum of 3+ years of design and development of web applications, in addition to a good understanding of rest API development.
- In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud (including Gateway, Nacos, Feign, etc), and their functionalities.
- Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), know how to design and tune database performance.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience using development middleware like Redis, Elastic Search, Kafka, etc.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and development practices.
What We Are Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Significant experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, particularly with Power Automate
- Demonstrated success leading automation platform implementations from concept through delivery
- Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotic process automation as applied to business process optimisation
- Experience developing and managing automation governance frameworks within regulated environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience in banking or financial services environments
- Knowledge of Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 Copilot features
- Swedish language skills are a plus but not a requirement
