Drive Electrical Excellence in a High-Impact Industrial Engineering Environment

Join a major green industrial transformation project that is reshaping the future of sustainable infrastructure. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting project delivery across electrical systems design and coordination. This position is part of the client-side engineering assurance team and will see you work closely with the Electrical Lead, as well as with EPCM and OEM partners, to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective engineering outcomes.

This opportunity offers meaningful technical responsibility within a dynamic project setting, focusing on electrical design assurance, installation coordination, and cross-disciplinary interface management for a large-scale industrial project in Sweden.

About the Role

You will be embedded in the owner’s engineering team, acting as a key support to the Electrical Lead. Your mission is to oversee the delivery and verification of electrical engineering work across your assigned area, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, technical, and operational standards. You will be actively involved in engineering documentation review, quality control, and ongoing coordination between project stakeholders.

This is a full-time on-site position based either at the client’s Stockholm office or on the project site in Boden, Norrbotten. You will participate in cross-functional teams, represent the client in technical discussions, and evaluate proposed design solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Electrical Lead in reviewing and validating all electrical design documentation for assigned areas
  • Coordinate with EPCM and OEM engineering teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective design delivery
  • Verify that all electrical designs comply with national, international, and Scandinavian standards
  • Participate in cross-disciplinary interface coordination and technical decision-making
  • Support design assurance for systems including:
  • EHV/HV/LV substations and switchgears
  • Transformers, motors, UPS, and battery chargers
  • Power system studies (load flow, short circuit, harmonics, relay settings)
  • Fire alarm systems, hazardous area classifications, and field electrical equipment
  • Lead or assist in meetings with EPCM partners, vendors, and technology providers
  • Contribute to the advancement of quality and performance improvement initiatives
  • Support use of document control systems such as ACC and Omega if applicable

What We Are Looking For

Required qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in large industrial capital projects (e.g. Steel, Power, Hydrogen, or Oil & Gas)
  • Demonstrated expertise in electrical design and installation documentation review
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations, with proven experience delivering complex engineering packages
  • Technical depth in electrical system studies and component-level design validation
  • Familiarity with Swedish and Scandinavian compliance requirements
  • Proficient in stakeholder coordination across EPCM, OEM, and internal teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced project environments with changing requirements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with electrical system design on major construction projects in Sweden or Scandinavia
  • Background in project progress meetings, change management, and lessons-learned analysis
  • Working knowledge of engineering document control systems such as ACC and Omega

What You Can Expect

  • A hands-on role in one of Europe’s most important sustainable industrial projects
  • Daily engagement with a high-performing engineering team delivering strategic outcomes
  • Full-time on-site work at either Stockholm or Boden, with potential flexibility based on project needs
  • Deep involvement in technical assurance, installation readiness, and stakeholder coordination across disciplines
