A key player in the green industrial transition is seeking a committed and capable Environmental and Employee Health & Safety (HSE) Senior Professional to enhance workplace safety and environmental compliance. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to sustainability goals while actively ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of people and communities.
You will take a lead role in refining HSE practices, conducting audits, investigating incidents, and aligning operations with both internal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate combines strong interpersonal skills with deep HSE knowledge and a proactive mindset.
About the Role
You will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE frameworks that prevent incidents, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of safety across the organisation’s operations in Southern Dalarna. This includes advising managers, educating teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and embedding behavioural safety practices.
You will also play a key role in supporting both local and global HSE initiatives, introducing smarter, more integrated ways of working that support operational efficiency and wellbeing.
This is an on-site role with a requirement to be present in Southern Dalarna a minimum of 3–4 days per week.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to identify and mitigate workplace and environmental hazards
- Conduct incident investigations, collaborate with engineers, management, and regulatory bodies, and propose preventative measures
- Deliver HSE training and advice, and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with corporate and government standards
- Maintain relationships with community stakeholders, environmental groups, and regulatory bodies
- Educate and empower managers to take ownership of HSE responsibilities
- Implement behaviour-based safety programs and lead awareness campaigns
- Partner with both local and global HSE teams to introduce new ways of working that promote health, safety, and sustainability
- Raise awareness and embed a strong HSE culture across operational teams
What We Are Looking For
Required qualifications:
- A degree in HSE or equivalent work experience with at least three years in a relevant HSE role
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Ability to be on-site 3–4 days per week in Southern Dalarna
- Practical experience in occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and compliance auditing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a structured and proactive approach
