We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Electrical Engineer with expertise in high-voltage (HV) substations to take a central role in delivering key engineering outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of cross-border projects spanning Sweden, Finland, and Norway, driving technical excellence and regulatory alignment in energy infrastructure.

About the Role

As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical design and engineering execution of substation projects. Your role will be critical in defining and validating engineering solutions, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring that projects comply with national and European standards.

This position calls for both strategic thinking and hands-on expertise. You will work remotely for most of the assignment, with scheduled in-person collaboration at headquarters or project sites in Sweden, Finlan, or locations in Norway for one week each month. Accommodation is provided when visiting client sites and reimbursed upon approval when working from client offices.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and validate technical solutions for high-voltage substation projects in compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and external stakeholders across Sweden, Finland, and Norway
• Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring effective mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain oversight of design documentation and provide expert input on complex engineering challenges
• Support continuous improvement by integrating automation, robotics, or digital monitoring solutions where relevant

What We Are Looking For

Required qualifications:

• A degree or further education in Electrical Engineering
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering tasks for HV substations
• Strong understanding of technical compliance requirements across Nordic energy markets
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with geographically distributed teams
• Must hold a valid EU passport
